Objective

This project delves into Mumbai's street food culture, with a specific focus on Chembur, through an interview-style narrative between two local friends. Their dialogue serves as a portal into the shared experiences, historical anecdotes, and heartfelt emotions intertwined with this beloved culinary tradition. As they reminisce over dishes like vada pav and falooda, the project transcends mere documentation, revealing the cultural significance and communal bonds forged over sizzling pans and aromatic spices. Beyond exploring flavors and aromas, the project delves into Chembur's social fabric and identity. It illuminates the intricate web of relationships, community ties, and cultural dynamics that shape the suburb's culinary landscape, celebrating heritage, camaraderie, and the enduring spirit of Mumbai's vibrant suburbs. Through the intimate lens of friendship and shared experience, it invites audiences to savor not just the flavors of Chembur's street food, but also the rich tapestry of stories and emotions that accompany each bite.
